Seamless Pattern Checker — spot seams before buyers do

Upload a pattern tile and see it repeated across a large area. Switch between full drop, half drop and half brick, or use the 50% offset view to reveal hidden seams.

  • Full, half drop & brick
  • 50% offset seam check
  • 2–8 tiles
  • Download preview

01Upload one tile

Seam check shifts your tile by half its width and height so the four edges meet in the middle — any visible line or jump there will show up in the repeat.

How it works

How to check a seamless pattern

  1. Upload a tile

Use the exact file you plan to sell.

  2. Look for lines

Use “Seam check” — any line, colour jump or cut-off motif in the centre shows a seam.

  3. Fix and re-check

Edit the tile in your design app, then upload it again.

Selling digital paper

What makes a pattern truly seamless?

A seamless tile repeats with no visible edges: the right edge continues into the left, and the top into the bottom. Buyers use digital papers for fabric, wrapping paper, backgrounds and print on demand — a visible seam will show up on every product they make.

  • Full drop repeats the tile in a simple grid.
  • Half drop shifts every other column down by half a tile — common for fabric.
  • Half brick shifts every other row by half a tile — like a brick wall.

Once your papers are ready, show them off with a preview sheet and create your main listing photo with the listing image maker.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my pattern is seamless?

Use the 50% offset seam check. If you see a line, colour jump or cut motif in the middle, the tile has a seam.

Which repeat should I sell?

Full drop is the most common for digital paper. Mention in your listing if a pattern is designed as a half drop.

Is my pattern uploaded?

No. The preview is drawn in your browser.
